First Person Animation: Fire, Jammed, Double Feed and Reload 

Weapon animations in first person view need to be clear and readable. Players rely on them to react fast. Some common actions we animate include: 

  • Fire – The firing animation must feel responsive. Recoil, hand movement, and weapon motion are carefully timed to feel natural and controlled. 
  • Jammed – When a weapon jams, the animation should clearly show something is wrong. This moment adds tension and helps the player understand the situation quickly. 
  • Double Feed – This is a more complex malfunction. Two rounds try to enter the chamber at once. Animating this correctly adds realism and depth without slowing gameplay. 
  • Reload – Reload animations affect game flow. Whether calm or rushed, they need to feel smooth and easy to read. 

All of these are created by hand, with attention to small details that players may not notice directly but will feel during gameplay.
